When the printer reports another roll

Automatic switching changes the stored label type on its own, so it is off until you turn it on. It never guesses: when the printer cannot tell two rolls apart and nothing below settles it, the app asks, exactly as it does now.

Media you own

Nothing listed, so the label picker offers the whole Brother range every time. Tick the rolls you actually have and they get a My media group at the top of it — the three or four you use, instead of thirty. Everything else stays below, for a roll you have not bought yet.

Print Alignment

Die-cut registration and per-model raster offsets can put the print slightly off-centre on the physical label, and some printers lay ink down a little larger or smaller than nominal. A calibration shifts and resizes everything this app prints — stored per label type, and applied when printing only, never to the preview.

The printer's mains supply can run through a relay on a webhook, so it draws nothing between print runs: the app switches it on when a job arrives at a printer that is not answering, and — if you ask it to — off again once everything has wound down. Off until you turn it on, and every setting inert until then.

Sent when a job arrives at a printer that is not answering; the job waits in the queue while it boots instead of failing. turn_off falls back to this URL as well, so it is the one the feature cannot run without.

Turn off optional

Cuts mains power once the keep-alive window has closed and the printer has switched itself off. Opt-in on its own, because it is the half of this that can go wrong.

Send turn_off

Needs Keep Alive set to "For a set time after each print". The turn-off moment is measured from the end of that window.

The payload names the action, so one endpoint can serve both. Give turn_off its own URL only for a relay that switches on the address instead of on the body.

Safety margin (minutes)

How long after the window closes turn_off goes out, so the printer's own auto-power-off finishes first.

Either URL can point at anything that answers a webhook — a Shelly, a Tasmota plug, an ESPHome switch. http:// and https:// only: LAN and private addresses are allowed, since that is where a relay lives, while loopback, link-local and cloud metadata endpoints are refused. For an endpoint that needs a credential, set RELAY_WEBHOOK_AUTHORIZATION in the environment.

The test buttons send one webhook now, from the settings as they are saved. An edit here is not used until you save it, and nothing else moves: no schedule, no countdown, no keep-alive window.

Only the six intervals the printer's own menu offers. It is subtracted from the keep-alive window, so the printer sleeps at exactly the moment you asked for rather than that moment plus its own timer.
